Degree Show Done and Dusted

20th June 2016

Sorting out the gallery space and putting up my work. I never did take photos of the final installation as seen by gallery visitors!

Deciding what to put into my installation was difficult, I decided on the paintings shown above. In truth, with all the advice I had from different tutors with different opinions I tried to just apply my own criteria for what went in. My gut feeling is that I should have left out the painting set in Rome. By the time I made the decision I had so little brain power and energy left all I could do was my best!

The Private View was extremely well attended, the whole place was buzzing. We also had a lot of visitors during the week we were open and according to the Observer Building staff, this was the best attended exhibition they have ever had. So we feel very pleased with ourselves. Now to wait for the final results of our BA (Hons) Fine Art Practice Degree and for our co-exhibitors their BA (Hons) Designer Maker Degree. This exhibition accounts for 50% of our overall mark, wish us all luck!
